Parker 45 “Insignia” Flighter

This pen is a UK made 1965 “flighter” (because of the stainless steel barrel and cap), early version “Insignia” (Rolled gold finish) with a plastic black tail. Here it is disassembled:

Pros:
– Super easy to fully disassemble and flush.
– Relatively cheap because no one wants them.
– Slip cap = super quick jotter. Very practical.
– Removable nib unit. Just like a Pelikan!

Cons:
– Pretty much none, except for each own personal preferences like the thin section and being a cartridge and converter filler etc. Very subjective.
– Actually, there is one con. The “correct” vintage converters are hard to come by, therefore they are usually quite expensive when they do! But don’t worry, any modern parker cartridge or converter is compatible.
– And because they “just work” these can be pretty bland.
